Resolving Revision Control Error (CL Office)

Occasionally, when opening CommonLook Office, a “Revision control” error will occur.  Revision control is a fairly easy option to disable.

Step 1

Navigate to the Review tab in Microsoft Word and immediately check to make sure your Track changes are turned off. 

Step 2

Next, we have to save all of our changes. This step is important and should be done whether or not “Track changes” were turned on or off! In the same Review ribbon, find the Changes section and click the “Accept” drop-down menu. Then select “Accept all changes in Document” at the bottom of the dropdown.

Step 3

You’re done! Try using the CommonLook Office software again. It should open without the Revision Control error message.
