Fonts to Use
WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 both direct us, in Guideline 3.1, to "make text content readable and understandable." Neither standard, however, limits or really provides clear instructions for font use, font size, etc. The original HHS standard (since updated in 2018), however, did provide a list of allowable fonts. That list is provided here:
- Times New Roman
- Verdana
- Arial
- Tahoma
- Helvetica
- Calibri
