This feature is ideal for quickly assigning the same heading level to text with similar attributes (font, color, size, etc.).
Here are the steps for using Tag Similar:
- Tag the first instance of the particular heading level.
- Right-click on the heading tag (or otherwise open its context menu) and choose “Tag similar” (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F5).

- Choose the page range (or all pages) as needed.
- Navigate to the Affected Elements panel and click (or arrow) down through the list of heading tags making sure that text was correctly tagged. (If text that is not a heading is incorrectly placed in a heading tag due to its font characteristics convert the tag, move the text, etc. as needed.)
