Turning on Software Updates in CommonLook PDF (Desktop only)

These update instructions are for users of the desktop version of CommonLook PDF and using the Subscription-based model.

How to Know There's an Update

If you have automatic updates turned on, when you open Acrobat, you'll be notified that there's an update available.

How to Turn On Automatic Updates

  1. Open Acrobat (or a specific PDF),
  2. Navigate to Plugins,
  3. Choose CommonLook,
  4. From the sub-menu, choose CommonLook Update Manager,
  5. Check the checkbox to Automatically Check for Updates,
  6. Close the Update Manager.

How to Install the Update

  1. Choose "Yes" in the update notification.
  2. Choose "Yes."  The download will begin automatically.

  3. Watch the progress.
  4. Close Acrobat when asked.
  5. When the installation is done, reopen Acrobat to use the desktop version of CommonLook PDF.
