What follows is a list of the commonly used slide types and their resulting tags in the PDF, as created by CommonLook Office. If needed, refer to the article on Headings and Styles in PowerPoint for more information.
Title Slide
- Text in the first box is tagged as H1.
- Text in the second box is tagged as an H2. (If the second box is left empty, CommonLook will mark it as an artifacted Figure.)
Title and Content
- Text in the top box is tagged as an H2.
- Bulleted text in the second box is tagged as a list. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
Section Header
- Text in the top box is tagged as an H2.
- Text in the second box is tagged as a Paragraph. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
Two Content Slide
- Text in the top box is tagged as an H2.
- Bulleted text in the second and third boxes are tagged as lists. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
Comparison Slide
- Text in the top box is tagged as an H2.
- Text in the smaller boxes below the top box are tagged as Paragraphs.
- The left and right “data” boxes (bulleted lists) are tagged as lists. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
Title Only
There is only one box on the slide and it is tagged as an H2.
Content with Caption
- The first box (top left) is tagged as an H2.
- The box on the left under the H2 is tagged as a Paragraph. If text is typed into the box, the Enter key is pressed, and additional text is typed, then both “sections” of text within that box will be tagged as separate Paragraphs. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
- The box on the right, with bullets, is tagged as a list. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
Picture with Caption
- The first box (top left) is tagged as an H2.
- The image is tagged as a Figure.
- The Caption Box is tagged as a Paragraph. If text is typed into the box, the Enter key is pressed, and additional text is typed, then both “sections” of text within that box will be tagged as separate Paragraphs. (Style Mapping is set to Autodetect.)
