When to use "Fix Font Issues" in Preflight
You can try to use the "Fix Font Issues" in the Preflight tool when the fonts in your document are unable to be properly encoded or there are Unicode mapping issues. While these issues can be identified by running a standards check, the problem will need to be addressed in Acrobat or in the source document.
